It’s past Labor Day- the official close of summer. We always get outta town for our “last chance” of summer. Usually we go to a cabin and force ourselves to go swimming, whether the water is still warm or not. This past weekend we spent one night in Duluth, then we hauled ourselves one more hour north to a cabin outside Cotton, Minnesota. In Duluth, we spent time with their little cousins and hiked our favorite Tischer Creek trail. The views were beautiful! At the cabin, the kids did some tubing with their other cousins even though the thermometer couldn’t even hit 70. I only swam after a run one day and after a sauna the other day. It was totally worth it, though. So exhilarating!
What was your favorite summer memory? It’s hard for me to choose, but we had a big family trip to Big Sky, Montana, and it was quite the trip. Zip-lining, horseback riding, seeing geysers at Yellowstone, and just enjoying the great outdoors. It’s also hard to beat going to the cabin. My parents have a place outside Ely. It’s probably the most peaceful place on Earth. The other cabin outside Cotton is always fun because the kids get to play with their cousins.
I’m holding a giveaway of one of my copies of Milly and the Tale from Across the Street on my Facebook page. All you have to do is like the page, like the post, and comment on what your favorite memory was from this past summer. I can’t wait to hear your responses!!
